I just sent in my check for the CPR Certification Course sponsored by the Bikkur Holim Committee to be conducted at FHC on April 23 and April 30 2006, both days from 12-4pm.
As you may recall, my oldest daughter successfully performed the Heimlich on my oldest son while he was choking on a steak bone lodged in his throat. I applaud the Bikkur Holim Committee for sponsoring this course and I urge all of you (who are not certified), to sign up for this course.
There are certain things we can do as decent human beings besides donating money to charities and causes, and assisting those who need our time or assistance. Two of those are donating blood and being in a position to provide emergency medical aide such as CPR.
I would hope never to have to use CPR and that everyone remains healthy and strong. But, in the real world, real events and experiences confirm that a CPR course is a necessity, not an option.
Shalom. Jeremy

I agree that saving a life is a mitzvah which is why I implore everyone to sign up for this course.
