GOALS FOR FHC

LEADERSHIP AND BALANCE

FHC needs leadership ready to give the congregation direction. Important issues must be addressed so that the future of FHC is sound, our financial standing is solid and our physical plant continues to be worthy of being a house of worship. That means that the physical plant should not become an expensive shrine, but should be a respectful space conducive to prayer and introspection.

FHC needs balance. Balance means that FHC does not move too far from its core values of a progressive conservative congregation serving Northern Westchester. We must remember we are not Temple Emanuel and we are not a little shul serving a group of traditional daveners. We are not rich and we are not poor. We are a diverse group of loving and caring jews who do a lot for our families, our friends and for the community.

We need balanced leadership that can advance a core set of common values that will provide the congregation goals for the future. Present and potential future leaders of FHC should consider this message and decide if they are truly capable to address the tasks at hand.

Shalom and Good Shabbos. Jeremy
